This tool can collect a series of web
sites and present them in a sequence with your text commentary.
It's similar to the Nethernet game but not called a game. Quite
useful if you want to show just a range of sites with your comments
on each. I suppose I could have used it for this but I didn't.

Here's
an example created by a teacher to help pupils explore Ancient
Egypt. There are lots more on the site too. In many ways, just getting
the lists of links makes this worth a visit!
There's another about Web2.0 for kids which may even give me more
ideas to feature here. (From a first peek, though, quite a few weren't
free which was disappointing.)
